  • Favorites: Your saved bus stops and routes are stored locally on your device.

We use this information only to support the app’s main functions:

  • Display nearby bus stops based on your location
  • Show real-time bus arrival information
  • Remember your favorite stops and buses

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties.

Data Storage

All preferences and favorites are stored locally on your device. We do not maintain external databases containing your personal information.

Website Analytics

The Bus Atas website at busatas.com uses PostHog to measure website traffic and understand how visitors use the website pages.

  • Website only: This website tracking applies to the Bus Atas website and landing pages. App usage analytics are collected separately by our backend.
  • What it measures: This may include page views, approximate location derived from IP address, device or browser information, referral and campaign information, and clicks on App Store links. PostHog uses a browser identifier to group visits; we do not identify website visitors by name or email or record website sessions.
  • Purpose: We use this information to understand website usage, improve the website, and measure the effectiveness of website links and campaigns.

Third-Party Services

Bus Atas uses services provided by Apple, PostHog, and public transport authorities:

  • LTA DataMall: To fetch real-time bus arrival information
  • Apple Maps: For map display and location services
  • Apple Crash Reports: If you opt in to share device analytics with Apple, we may receive anonymized crash data through Apple’s crash reporting tools.
  • PostHog: For website traffic and App Store link analytics.
